We are delighted to have been presented the East Midlands 200 award from accountancy firm Grant Thornton at our offices in Nottingham, after ranking 25th overall and 5th in Nottinghamshire in its East Midlands 200, an annual report which ranks the 200 fastest-growing businesses in the region.
Being recognised for our growth and innovation within the East Midlands is incredibly important. We want to thank our staff for their continued effort and the team at Grant Thornton for documenting our recent success in its comprehensive report.
John Moxon, business development director at Clegg Food Projects, said: “This recognition of our growth over the past three years is something we are immensely proud of. Our business is 40 years old, but we strive to continue innovating and pushing our sector forward. This ranking reflects our achievement with this. The industry is on an upward trajectory, with the Food and Drink Federation tracking business confidence at its highest level since tracking began after Q1, showing an increase in optimism for the rest of 2024.
“We’re very proud of our team and the opportunity to work with so many brilliant clients and partners, designing and constructing some amazing projects in recent years – from Fischer Farms ‘world’s biggest’ vertical farm in Norfolk to Gregg’s automated cold store in Balliol Business Park to Guan Chong Berhad (GCB)’s world-class cocoa & chocolate factory in Suffolk. Looking ahead, we are currently involved in many exciting projects, and we eagerly anticipate future successes within the region.”
East Midlands 200 ranking is based on reported EBITDA Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) over a three-year period, with only businesses headquartered in the East Midlands being ranked.
Altogether, the top 200 had a combined revenue of £9.2bn, 18% average revenue growth and a 47% average profit growth. It is the ninth year Grant Thorntons has produced the report and the first time Clegg Food Projects has appeared
