The project demonstrates to Clegg Group’s commitment to delivering high-quality design and build services for leading global manufacturers.

About Dhoot Transmission

Established more than two decades ago by managing director Mr. Rahul Dhoot, Dhoot Transmission is India’s second-largest manufacturer of wiring harnesses and automotive electronics, with a group turnover of £225 million and employing almost 7,000 employees at 24 manufacturing locations across the globe. Over the years, the company has expanded substantially, with a product portfolio spanning across wiring harnesses, electronic sensors, automotive cables, battery packs, and power cords for various industries.

Since launching in the UK market in 2007, Dhoot Transmission has continued its growth trajectory marked by several strategic acquisitions, including TFC Cable Assemblies in 2017 and Parkinson Harness Technology in 2018 respectively. Today, Dhoot Transmission UK boasts an annual turnover of £35 million and aims to expand its operations further. The construction of the new 55,000 sq. ft. facility is a testament to this commitment, paving the way to establishing the company as the largest wiring harness manufacturer in the UK.

Project Overview

The project, which broke ground in March 2024, is scheduled for completion in 2025. Once operational, the facility will consolidate Dhoot Transmission’s position as the market leader of high-voltage cable production, serving the automotive and construction vehicle sectors across the UK.

The factory will produce cutting-edge wiring harnesses, battery cables, control box assemblies, and components essential for the electric vehicle industry. This will enable Dhoot Transmission to meet the rising demand for advanced automotive electronics and wiring solutions.

Located in Boston, Lincolnshire, the facility will create new employment opportunities, contributing to the local economy and adding skilled workforce in the area.
